Signs

I know some people don't believe,
that you really can come and visit;
but I still know what I've seen and heard,
and if they'd seen, they'd have to admit to it.

I feel you all around me,
You've never left my side,
I'm open to your spirit,
and I know your still alive.

I feel you come and visit me,
During the day & during the night,
I've heard the smoke alarms too many times,
and watched the flickering lights.

I've seen goose bumps on my arms,
In perfect shapes of fingers,
I know its you holding on to me.
I know your spirit lingers.

You always make sure you do it,
when someone else is around,
and I love the way you do it twice,
to prove our minds are sound.

I hope I haven't made you sad,
If you can see me grieving,
Please orgive me if I have,
I just couldn't bear your leaving.

I know you knew how much I loved you,
And I know you always had,
But now I know you know how much,
And you stay around to make me glad.

Your visits bring such comfort,
My dreams with you such peace,
Some people may think I'm crazy,
but they haven't seen what I have seen.

There is certainly no denying,
The lights, the sounds the smells,
And I would never disgrace your memory,
and by such a big lie tell.

I've watched the sun turn red,
While grieving in "your" car,
I've been visited by Jesus,
and been held tightly in his arms.

I've laid awake for hours,
my sleeplessness unable to fight,
Then stepped outside to look at the sky,
And watched it fill with lightning bug lights.

Dancing all around me,
all the other areas lie still;
Only in our back yard,
Blackness the other yards fill.

I read the poem Aunt Pam sent me,
About another Mom waiting for a sign,
Hers was 3 red butterflies,
then later, I saw three of mine.

Your blue Heart lighter you left here,
that comes & goes at your will,
It's always around on my "blue" days,
Then on good days disappears.

The message that I'm sending,
is meant to give others Hope & Peace.
All you have to do is open your heart,
Your mind, and your Loved one you shall see.
